Qualifications
Kevin has qualifications as a naturalist and ecologist, including a BSc in Biological Sciences (specialising in Ecology) and a MSc in Oceanography, and various certificates relating to work on 'expedition' cruise ships.
A keen and enthusiastic naturalist, I've worked on 'expedition' cruise ships Worldwide and experienced nature at it's best, from the varied coastline of the British Isles and NW Europe to the stunning scenery of Antarctica and the Arctic, and from the wealth of wildlife in the tropics worldwide, to the endemic life of remote oceanic islands.
I've also been a resident naturalist in the Peruvian rainforest, a tour leader on trips to encounter chimps and gorillas, led wildlife tours from whale watching to walking holidays, carried out research on topics from herpetofauna to ecotourism, and used my seafaring knowledge as a birdwatcher, marine biologist and diver to work on a guide to sealife.
Using my experienced as a naturalist I can cover a range of topics including seabirds, seals, cetaceans, turtles and sharks, using amazing facts to get everyone on the edge of their seats, and to appreciate the World's natural wonders. I speak with enthusiasm and passion, and use presentations, workshops and seminars to engage and motivate audiences, from business conferences to schools, and conservation groups to travel groups.
As a professional ecologist and environmental consultant I've also been involved with wildlife surveys, habitat management, pond creation, and mitigation, specialising in birds, reptiles, amphibians and other protected species.
